An Invitation to Reclaim Our Nation
Dear Esteemed Nigerians and Beloved Friends,
Warm greetings in the spirit of shared destiny and common purpose.
My name is Bob Clifford Ofunne — a political scientist and your fellow Nigerian.
To my seniors and contemporaries, some may remember me from the Class of ’84, when we still believed that discipline, faith, service, and courage could build a nation.
I still believe. Today, I write not as a politician, but as a patriot — one who can no longer remain silent while our country bleeds.
WHY I AM WRITING TO YOU?
For the past nine years, I have quietly — but resolutely — pursued a vision.
Not for wealth. Not for power.
But out of pain — the pain of watching Nigeria's broken political system destroy dreams, dim hope, and force us to become spectators in a nation we once dreamed of leading.
That pain birthed a purpose:
A new political movement called The True Democrats (TTD) — a bold, people-centered alternative that puts integrity above influence, grassroots power above godfatherism, and true federal character above tribal politics.
WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED — AGAINST ALL ODDS
With no political sponsors, no big financiers — only faith, conviction, and personal sacrifice — We have:
- Built a full political structure across all 36 states.
- Opened a national office in Wuse 2 Abuja
- Registered with AMAC, and mobilized a growing team of patriots who believe in Nigeria again.
And now, the journey to full recognition — and national transformation — is before us.
WHAT I’M ASKING OF YOU
I’m not just asking for support.
I’m inviting you into a partnership. A national awakening. A shared mission to build what has never been built before in Nigeria — a political system truly owned by the people.
Your voice, your wisdom, your time, your contribution — no matter how small — can help shape this movement.
- Are you a strategist?
- A professional?
- A student?
- A concerned citizen tired of sitting on the sidelines?
Then this movement is for you.
WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU
1. This movement was born from personal sacrifice — it cost me family comfort, social ease, and almost my livelihood. But Nigeria is worth it.
2. In TTD, even the poor can contest elections — no financial bondage, no godfathers. Just vision, competence, and service, but we must build what it takes.
3. Some powerful interests have tried to discourage this dream — not to help it grow, but to silence it.
We refused.
This must remain in the hands of patriotic Nigerians — not political opportunists.
4. TTD is not business-as-usual. That’s why the system ignores it. But we won’t stop.
5. Your involvement can be the difference. Whether it’s advice, funding, networking, mobilization, or community organizing — you matter.
