A NIGERIA THAT WORKS: A CALL TO CONSCIENCE

Fellow Nigerians, We need a Nigeria that works.

A Nigeria where leaders are accountable.
A Nigeria where justice is served on merit, not money.

Where there are standards—clear, unshakable standards—in everything we build, everything we teach, everything we learn, and everything we do.
We must no longer cry after every election.
We must no longer mourn the consequences of decisions we helped to make—or failed to challenge.
Now is the time.
Now is the time to confront the wasted years… the broken promises… the cycles of deceit that have held us hostage.

Yes, I am angry.
Yes, I am frustrated.

Because Nigerians are still not listening.
We speak of change—but we don’t chase it.
We ask for better leadership—but we still follow shadows.
We talk about a new Nigeria—but we refuse to pay the price of rebirth.
Let me be clear: talk is cheap. VERY cheap.
And we’ve had too much of it—empty words from podiums, shallow slogans, loud speeches with no soul.

We have been cultured to accept anything—no matter how bad—from those in power.
But my people, enough is enough.
To truly drive change, we must embrace a holistic approach—not just switching faces but redefining the entire system.

It’s not just about one man or one party.
It’s about birthing a distinctive political culture, rooted in discipline, vision, truth, and sacrifice.
Change is not a miracle. It’s a mission.
To get a New Nigeria back, it must come from a place of sacrifice.
Before you talk about fixing Nigeria, ask yourself:

Are you ready to fix what’s broken in you?

Because the real enemies of our progress are not just bad leaders.
They are the traits we nurture in silence:
Greed.
Indiscipline.
Fake competition.
Wickedness.
And sick leadership that thrives on our silence. We must understand something profound:
There are different types of poverty.
And sadly, most of our so-called wealthy leaders are deeply poor—morally bankrupt, spiritually empty, and ignorant of it.

So I ask you today:

What are you doing to change your own situation?
Because bad governance does not just happen.
It is often promoted by our ignorance, by our silence, by our compromise.
We must no longer cry after every election.
Let us rise before the votes are cast.
Let us act before the system breaks down again.
The time is now.

Let’s stop chasing change with our lips.
Let us pursue it with our lives.

Thank you.

BCO Convener' TTD.
