Fellow comrades of The True Democrats (TTD)

This is a call to action.

The revolution is no longer coming — it has already begun. Bit by bit, state by state, heart by heart, we are raising a new breed of Nigerians who refuse to sit back while the nation sinks.

Let it be clear: this platform is not ordinary. What we’re building here is deeper than group chats — it’s a movement with purpose, structure, and vision. We may not unveil all that is ahead, but soon, the impact will be undeniable.

Those of us on the frontline now have an opportunity to shape the future — not with selfishness, but with integrity, purpose, and nation-first mindset.

This is the time to populate this platform with responsible and committed people. Invite thinkers, builders, patriots. People who are tired of the lies, the games, and the decay.

Diaspora voices are warming up. Global eyes are watching. But we must get it right from within.

Let’s be intentional. Let’s move with urgency.

Let’s do this — for Nigeria.

TTD! Yes, collectively we can!

In Abundance, Yet Bleeding in Pain

In Abundance, Yet Bleeding in Pain

We live in a nation of great abundance, yet we bleed in silence.
We have everything—resources, brilliance, resilience—but we suffer every day, like strangers in our own land.

The True Democrats (TTD) is a growing political pressure group seeking recognition through INEC, not just to contest elections, but to restore the broken contract between citizens and leadership in Nigeria.

Let’s Be Honest—Politics Was Never Meant to Be Magic

We were misled to believe that politics runs on a mysterious system—one we can never understand.
But the truth is, we gave up on change too soon.
That mindset is now in the past.

At TTD, we’re bold about what we stand for.
We invite you to join hands with us, align your hopes with our vision, and build the future we all deserve.

Our Vision Is Simple but Powerful:

To birth a sustainable future for ourselves and generations yet to come.
We will awaken a national awareness rooted in:

Unity

Rule of Law

Youth and community development

Justice and fairness

True leadership that serves—not rules.

We will reignite nationalistic values and restore the power of conscience, competence, and compassion in governance.

To Build the Future, We Must Act Now

To get the future we want, we must:

Organize at the community level—clans, towns, LGAs, states.

Understand the options before us.

Win elections, not just by votes—but by winning hearts, ideas, and actions.

Start implementation with unity of purpose, not personal interest.

If you listen closely, your own soul has likely whispered this truth to you:
“It’s time to drive the change.”

TTD Is Not Just Another Voice—We Are a Clear Roadmap

We offer direction for the next 15 years.
Our plans are short-term and long-term, visible and achievable.

We don’t just talk—we act, we plan, we deliver:

Democratic principles in action

Process management that works

Exposure of the root causes of our instability

We will tell the truth others avoid:

Why Nigeria was made to fail.

Why “winner-takes-all” politics must end.

Why they divided us by ethnicity and religion—tools they use to keep us fighting while they stay feeding.

Wake Up, Nigeria. Look Around.

They offer corn and pull our feathers.
They distract us with ceremonies while millions eat from hand to mouth.
We have become forgetful, docile, inactive, and helpless.

In a land of plenty, we die of hunger.
We die in kidnappers' dens.
We die in silence, not because we’re weak—but because we’ve been made to believe we have no voice.

When your so-called “representatives” drive past, do they stop for you?
Who do you report to when the police ignore your pain?
When will the hardship end?

Tell us—so we can breathe again.
Tell us—so we can rise again.
Tell us—so we can reclaim the abundance of our citizenship.

This Is a Call to Action

Dear Nigerians,

We are not powerless.
We are not hopeless.
We are not doomed.

We are the majority.
We are the strength behind every change Nigeria has ever known.
Now is the time to reclaim our future.

> Believe in us. Trust in this journey. Align with TTD.

Together, we can rebuild Nigeria—from the grassroots to the center.

Let’s activate our power, not just to complain, but to construct a system that works for all of us.

Think, i say think it thoroughly.

TTD!
Yes, collectively we can, rescue, redesign and re-build!

A Tribute to Muhammadu Buhari

A Tribute to Muhammadu Buhari

We gather today with heavy hearts, yet also with a spirit of reflection and gratitude, to honor the life and legacy of a remarkable Nigerian, Muhammadu Buhari. His passing marks the end of an era, and we are here to remember a man who dedicated a significant portion of his life to the service of our nation.

Muhammadu Buhari was a figure of immense resolve and unwavering commitment. From his early days in the military, through his time as a Head of State, and ultimately as a democratically elected President, his journey was defined by a deep-seated desire to see a better Nigeria. He was a man who believed in discipline, integrity, and the fight against corruption, principles he championed throughout his public life.

His presidency, from 2015 to 2023, was a period of significant challenges and determined efforts. He tackled issues of insecurity with a firm hand, working tirelessly to restore peace and stability in various parts of the country. His administration also focused on economic diversification, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs, aiming to uplift the lives of ordinary Nigerians. He initiated projects that spanned across the nation, from roads and railways to power and agricultural initiatives, all geared towards laying a stronger foundation for our future.

Beyond his policies and public pronouncements, President Buhari was known for his quiet dignity, his stoicism, and his profound love for Nigeria. He was a leader who often preferred action over words, and his dedication to the unity and progress of the country was never in doubt. He navigated complex political landscapes and made tough decisions, always with the nation's best interests at heart, as he saw them.

To his family, we extend our deepest condolences. Your loss is immeasurable, and we share in your grief. May you find strength and comfort in the memories of his life and the profound impact he had.

As we bid farewell to Muhammadu Buhari, let us remember his enduring spirit of service. Let us reflect on his contributions, acknowledge the paths he forged, and carry forward the lessons of dedication and patriotism that he embodied. His journey was one of profound commitment to Nigeria, and his legacy will continue to be a subject of national discourse and historical reflection.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

A NIGERIA THAT WORKS: A CALL TO CONSCIENCE

Fellow Nigerians, We need a Nigeria that works.

A Nigeria where leaders are accountable.
A Nigeria where justice is served on merit, not money.

Where there are standards—clear, unshakable standards—in everything we build, everything we teach, everything we learn, and everything we do.
We must no longer cry after every election.
We must no longer mourn the consequences of decisions we helped to make—or failed to challenge.
Now is the time.
Now is the time to confront the wasted years… the broken promises… the cycles of deceit that have held us hostage.

Yes, I am angry.
Yes, I am frustrated.

Because Nigerians are still not listening.
We speak of change—but we don’t chase it.
We ask for better leadership—but we still follow shadows.
We talk about a new Nigeria—but we refuse to pay the price of rebirth.
Let me be clear: talk is cheap. VERY cheap.
And we’ve had too much of it—empty words from podiums, shallow slogans, loud speeches with no soul.

We have been cultured to accept anything—no matter how bad—from those in power.
But my people, enough is enough.
To truly drive change, we must embrace a holistic approach—not just switching faces but redefining the entire system.

It’s not just about one man or one party.
It’s about birthing a distinctive political culture, rooted in discipline, vision, truth, and sacrifice.
Change is not a miracle. It’s a mission.
To get a New Nigeria back, it must come from a place of sacrifice.
Before you talk about fixing Nigeria, ask yourself:

Are you ready to fix what’s broken in you?

Because the real enemies of our progress are not just bad leaders.
They are the traits we nurture in silence:
Greed.
Indiscipline.
Fake competition.
Wickedness.
And sick leadership that thrives on our silence. We must understand something profound:
There are different types of poverty.
And sadly, most of our so-called wealthy leaders are deeply poor—morally bankrupt, spiritually empty, and ignorant of it.

So I ask you today:

What are you doing to change your own situation?
Because bad governance does not just happen.
It is often promoted by our ignorance, by our silence, by our compromise.
We must no longer cry after every election.
Let us rise before the votes are cast.
Let us act before the system breaks down again.
The time is now.

Let’s stop chasing change with our lips.
Let us pursue it with our lives.

Thank you.

BCO Convener' TTD.

REGISTRATION OF NEW PARTIES

INEC RECEIVES SEVEN (7) FRESH NEW APPLICATIONS FOR REGISTRATION AS A POLITICAL PARTY

In one week, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received  seven fresh applications from associations seeking registration as political parties, bringing the total number of applications to 129.

INEC national commissioner/chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, announced this in Abuja yesterday.

The groups that submitted fresh applications include: National Peace Congress Party of Nigeria (NPCP), Alliance for Transformation Mandates (ATM), Democracy for Citizens Party (DFP), African Renaissance Party (ARP), United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Future Democratic Party (FDP).

Olumekun also said INEC is introducing a political party registration portal which is a module in its Party Financial Reporting and Auditing System  (PFRAS).

This, he said will make the process faster and seamless, adding that in the next one week, the commission will conclude the final testing of the portal before deployment.

“At its regular weekly meeting held today, Thursday 10th July 2025, the Commission received further update on additional requests from associations seeking registration as political parties. Since last week, seven more applications have been received, bringing the total number so far to 129. All the requests are being processed.

“Unlike the manual method used in previous registration, the Commission is introducing a  political party registration portal which is a module in our Party Financial Reporting and Auditing System  (PFRAS). This will make the process faster and seamless. In the next one week, the Commission will conclude the final testing of the portal before deployment.

“Thereafter, the next step for associations that meet the requirements to proceed to the application stage will be announced. The Commission will also issue guidelines to facilitate the filing of applications using the PFRAS,”Olumekun stated.

Be the Change You Want to See: Empowering Personal Transformation

Mahatma Gandhi's iconic phrase, "Be the change you want to see in the world," has inspired generations to take action and create positive impact. But what does it really mean to embody this philosophy? How can we apply it to our daily lives and become the change-makers we aspire to be?

The Power of Personal Transformation

When we desire change, we often look outward, expecting others or external circumstances to shift. However, true transformation begins within. By focusing on our own growth, values, and actions, we can become the catalysts for change we want to see.

Practical Steps to Becoming the Change

1. Identify Your Values: Reflect on what matters most to you and what kind of impact you want to make.
2. Set Intentions: Clearly define the changes you want to create in your life and the world around you.
3. Take Small Steps: Start with everyday actions that align with your values, such as volunteering, reducing waste, or practicing kindness.
4. Lead by Example: Inspire others through your actions, showing them that positive change is possible.

The Ripple Effect

When we embody the change we want to see, we create a ripple effect that can spread far and wide. Our actions inspire others, and collectively, we can drive meaningful transformation.

Conclusion

"Be the change you want to see" is more than just a phrase – it's a call to action. By embracing personal transformation and taking small steps towards our goals, we can become the change-makers we aspire to be. What change will you create today?

As you reflect upon these words, think about the change you want to see in Nigeria and how you can contribute to it.

TTD!
Yes, collectively we can!

CAPACITY IS WHAT DRIVES CHANGE — NOT TITLES, NOT TRIBES

Capacity.
The word sounds simple. But it carries the weight of nations.
Capacity is the ability to contain, to produce, to stretch, to bear the burden of responsibility — and still deliver results.

We’ve had presidents — many.
From North and South. From military to civilian. From old to young.
But what do we really have to show for it?
No steady light. No good roads. No jobs. No peace. No justice.

So the problem has never been about who becomes president.
The real issue is whether that person — and the people behind him — have capacity.

We at TTD (The True Democrats) are not moved by zoning politics.
North or South? That’s not the question.
Muslim or Christian? That’s not the question either.
The only question that matters is: DO YOU HAVE THE CAPACITY TO FIX THIS COUNTRY?

Capacity to uphold justice.
Capacity to confront the rot in the system.
Capacity to punish wrong — not selectively, but thoroughly.
Capacity to listen — not just to the elite, but to the man with a torchlight phone who knows hunger more than data plans.

---

CAPACITY IS NOT POWER. IT IS HOW POWER IS USED.

Power can be stolen.
Power can be bought.
But capacity must be built — with character, competence, and courage.

Right now, Nigeria is bleeding — not just from bad leaders, but from a broken political culture.
We at TTD know we don’t have the moneybags, the media machinery, or the "power brokers."
But we have something they fear: we have the people.
And when the people wake up, no force can stop them.

The same people they deceive every 4 years are the ones who fund their luxury with our suffering.
They are pained that they are out of power.
But we are pained that we have never truly had power, even though it comes from us.

BUILDING CAPACITY STARTS WITH US.

Capacity is not just about government.
It’s about a mindset.
It’s about rejecting greed in all its forms — not just at the top, but in everyday life.
It’s about knowing that "it feels right" is not enough — you must ask, "Is it truly right for all?"

We must build capacity by producing leaders who see beyond region or religion.
Leaders who don’t ask: "Where are you from?"
But: "What can you do?"

Where is the capacity in a government that can’t stop villages from being attacked?
That watches hospitals crumble, roads decay, schools rot, and still claps for itself?

Where is the capacity in a system where institutions are weak, security agencies are overwhelmed, and no one is held accountable?

WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER PRESIDENT.

We need a complete reset.
A New Nigeria.
Where systems work. Where the law works. Where leaders are not above the people, but answer to them.
Where tribe and religion are no longer tools of manipulation but sources of cultural strength.

It will not be easy. But nothing worth doing ever is.

So let’s talk capacity — not just in leadership, but in ourselves:
Capacity to organize. To speak up. To sacrifice. To demand more. To unite.

We’ve given power to people who only empower themselves.
It’s time to take it back. Not by violence. But by conscience, courage, and capacity.

Because only a fool leads fools.
And only a nation that builds its people can build its future.

Let’s build capacity. Let’s drive change. Let’s rebuild Nigeria — together.
